Rock in den Ruinen

The first festival I've been to was Rock in den Ruinen. It's a one-day festival (28.04.2012) taking place at the Phoenix West Areal in Dortmund. That day I had to attend classes and when I finally managed to get to the festival, it was already late in the afternoon and I knew I had maybe two or three hours left of sunlight. So I hurried to find an adequate place and started to address people walking by. I changed places about five times until I found the best spot. Overall I managed to photograph about 70 people on that day and I had a blast :D

Hello everybody!
I am a photography student from germany and I am currently working on my long-term portrait project called The Festival Project. This blog is to give you information and to keep you updated about my project. Also I am going to post some moods of the festival (photos I took there next to my actual project-photos) and once in a while a portrait of the particular festival.
